- Fresh cottage cheese (skuta)450g

- Cinnamon1 tsp
- Heavy cream150ml

Prepare the dough as in the traditional recipe and let it rest.

Peel, core, and finely grate the apple. Squeeze out excess juice.

For the filling: Combine cottage cheese, grated apple, egg, sugar, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Mix well.

Roll out the dough very thinly. Spread the apple-cottage cheese filling evenly.

Roll up the dough carefully and cut into portions.

Arrange the štrukli in a greased baking dish.

Pour a mixture of heavy cream and melted butter over the štrukli.

Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 35-45 minutes, until golden brown.
