- Cottage cheese300g
- Egg yolk1
- Sugar2 tbsp
- Lemon zest1 tsp
- Egg (for wash)1
- Powdered sugar (for dusting)optional

Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F).

For the filling: Mix cottage cheese, egg yolk, sugar, and lemon zest in a bowl.

Unroll the puff pastry sheet. Cut into rectangles (approx. 10x15 cm).

Spoon the filling onto one half of each pastry rectangle.

Fold the other half of the pastry over the filling to create a pocket. Crimp the edges with a fork to seal.

Place the štrukli on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Whisk the egg and brush it over the top of each štrukli for a golden finish.

Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until puffed and golden brown.

Let cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar if desired.
