A classic Easter cheese bread, rich and slightly sweet, traditionally made for the Easter holiday. It's a dense, moist cake-like bread with a prominent cheese flavor, often enjoyed on its own or with butter.

Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and flour a 20cm (8-inch) round cake pan.

In a large bowl, beat ricotta cheese with eggs and granulated sugar until well combined and smooth.

Stir in the melted butter, lemon zest, and vanilla extract.

In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Do not overmix.

Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and spread evenly.

Bake for 40-50 minutes, or until a wooden skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.

Let the sirnica cool in the pan for 10 minutes before inverting it onto a wire rack to cool completely.
