- ricotta cheese (as substitute for cottage cheese)2 cups
- sour cream1/2 cup
- egg1
- granulated sugar1/4 cup
- apples, thinly sliced2 medium
- ground cinnamon1/2 tsp
- walnuts, chopped1/2 cup
- poppy seeds1/4 cup
- saltpinch
- black pepperpinch

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.

Prepare the cheese filling: Mix ricotta cheese, sour cream, egg, and sugar.

Toss apple slices with cinnamon.

Line the baking dish with one sheet of puff pastry.

Spread half of the cheese filling over the pastry.

Layer half of the apple slices and half of the walnuts.
