Prepare the potato dough as per the traditional recipe (Steps 1-2 of Traditional Knedle s Marelicama).

Pit the apricots and fill the cavity with a teaspoon of sugar.

Form the dumplings around the apricots.

Boil the dumplings in salted water until cooked through (approx. 15-20 minutes).

Meanwhile, prepare the streusel: chop walnuts finely. Melt butter in a pan, add chopped walnuts, sugar, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt. Toast until fragrant and lightly browned.

Remove dumplings from water and serve immediately, generously topped with the walnut streusel.
