- breadcrumbs50g

For the dough: Combine flour and salt. Cut in cold butter until crumbly. Mix eggs, sour cream, and water. Gradually add wet ingredients to dry ingredients until a dough forms. Knead briefly, wrap, and chill for 30 minutes.

For the filling: Peel, core, and thinly slice apples. Toss with sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice.

Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).

Divide dough into 4 portions. Roll out each portion very thinly. Lightly grease a baking dish. Place one dough layer in the dish, sprinkle with breadcrumbs.

Spread half of the apple filling over the breadcrumbs. Top with another thin dough layer, breadcrumbs, and the remaining apple filling.

Cover with the final two dough layers, sprinkling breadcrumbs between the last two layers. Prick the top layer with a fork.

Bake for 45-55 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
