Classic Dalmatian fritters made with salted cod, potatoes, and herbs, pan-fried to a golden crisp. A beloved appetizer or light meal.

Sastojci
- Salted cod (bakalar)300g
- Potatoes200g
- Garlic2 cloves
- Fresh parsley1 bunch
- Eggs2
- All-purpose flour50g
- Olive oilfor frying

Soak the salted cod in cold water for at least 24-48 hours, changing the water several times. Drain and boil until tender. Flake the cod, removing any bones and skin.

Boil the potatoes until tender. Mash them thoroughly.

Finely chop the garlic and fresh parsley.

In a bowl, combine the flaked cod, mashed potatoes, chopped garlic, chopped parsley, eggs, and flour. Season with salt and pepper. Mix well to form a cohesive mixture. If too wet, add a little more flour.

Heat a generous amount of olive oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat.

Form small, irregular oval-shaped fritters from the mixture. Carefully place them into the hot oil.

Fry the fritters for 3-5 minutes per side, until golden brown and crispy. Drain on paper towels.

Serve hot, garnished with extra parsley and a lemon wedge.
