- Potatoes500 g
- Onion1 large
- Garlic3 cloves
- Carrot1 medium
- Vegetable oil or lard2 tbsp
- Paprika1 tsp
- Saltto taste
- Black pepperto taste

Wash and chop the kale, removing tough stems. Peel and dice the potatoes, onion, and carrot. Slice the smoked sausage. Mince the garlic.

In a large pot, heat oil or lard over medium heat. Add the diced onion and carrot and sauté until softened, about 5-7 minutes.

Add the minced garlic and paprika, stir for 30 seconds until fragrant.

Add the sliced smoked sausage and cook for a few minutes until lightly browned.

Add the chopped kale to the pot. Stir well.

Pour in enough water to cover the ingredients. Bring to a boil.

Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 45 minutes, or until the kale is tender. Add more water if needed.

Add the diced potatoes and cook for another 20-30 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender.

Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Note: Smoked sausage is often salty, so season carefully.
