Sastojci
- Canned chickpeas2 cans (400g each)
- Onion1 medium
- Bell pepper (red or yellow)1
- Garlic2 cloves
- Olive oil1 tbsp
- Tomato paste1 tbsp
- Vegetable broth500ml
- Saltto taste
- Black pepperto taste
- Fresh chivesfor garnish

Drain and rinse canned chickpeas.

Finely chop onion and bell pepper. Mince garlic.

Heat olive oil in a pot over medium heat. Add onion and bell pepper. Sauté until softened, about 5-7 minutes.

Add minced garlic and tomato paste. Cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.

Pour in vegetable broth and add the rinsed chickpeas. Bring to a simmer.

Simmer for 20-25 minutes, allowing flavors to meld and the stew to thicken slightly. Mash some chickpeas against the side of the pot to help thicken.

Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Serve hot, garnished with fresh chives.
