  • Tempoyak (fermented durian paste)120g
  • Coconut milk400ml
  • Shallots7, sliced
  • Garlic4 cloves, sliced
  • Ginger1 inch, sliced
  • Lemongrass1 stalk, bruised
  • Turmeric leaf2 leaves, torn
  • Chili padi5-8, or to taste
  • Turmeric powder1 tsp
  • Belacan (shrimp paste)1/2 tsp, optional
  • Saltto taste
  • Water200ml
  • Vegetable oil2 tbsp
