- Rendang spice paste (pre-made or homemade)1/2 cup
- Coconut milk (for rendang)1 cup
- Anchovies (ikan bilis)1/4 cup
- Peanuts (roasted)1/4 cup

Cook coconut rice as per the classic recipe.

Prepare and marinate chicken for Ayam Goreng Berempah as per the classic recipe.

Prepare the beef rendang: Sear beef cubes. Sauté rendang spice paste. Add beef, coconut milk, and cook slowly until tender and sauce thickens.
