- Smoked sausage (e.g., Kielbasa)300 g
- Beef broth1.8 liters
- Potatoes400 g
- Carrots200 g
- Celery stalks2
- Onion1 large
- Garlic3 cloves
- Bay leaf1
- Fresh dillsmall bunch
- Sour creamfor garnish
- Saltto taste
- Black pepperto taste
- Vegetable oil1 tbsp

Cut beef chuck roast into large cubes. Season with salt and pepper.

Heat vegetable oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Sear beef cubes until browned. Remove and set aside.

Slice the smoked sausage into rounds. Add to the pot and brown slightly. Remove and set aside.

Add chopped onion to the pot and sauté until softened. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.

Return beef to the pot. Pour in beef broth, add bay leaf. Bring to a boil, then simmer covered for 1.5 hours, or until beef is tender.

Peel and dice potatoes, carrots, and celery. Add to the pot along with the browned sausage.

Continue to simmer for another 30-40 minutes, or until vegetables are tender.

Remove bay leaf. Taste and adjust seasoning.
