- Mung beans (split, no skin)100g
- Shallots150g
- Ground pork200g

- Turmeric powder1 tsp
- Vegetable oil80ml
- Fish sauce2 tbsp
- Salt1 tsp
- Wateras needed
- Sugar1 tsp
- Fresh cilantrofor garnish

Prepare glutinous rice with turmeric and salt as in the traditional recipe. Steam until cooked.

Steam mung beans until soft, mash with 1 tsp sugar and a pinch of salt. Set aside.

Fry shallots until crispy. Reserve shallot oil. Set crispy shallots aside.

In a separate pan, sauté ground pork with 1 tbsp fish sauce, a pinch of salt, and pepper until cooked through. Set aside.

Soft-boil eggs for 6-7 minutes. Peel and cut in half.

To assemble, place a portion of sticky rice in a bowl. Top with seasoned ground pork, a dollop of mung bean paste, and half a soft-boiled egg. Garnish with crispy fried shallots and fresh cilantro. Drizzle with shallot oil.
