- Glutinous rice2 cups
- Waterfor soaking and steaming
- Dried shrimp1/4 cup
- Chinese sausage (lap cheong)2 links
- Chicken breast1
- Shallots3
- Garlic2 cloves
- Fish sauce2 tbsp
- Sugar1 tsp
- Soy sauce1 tbsp
- Vegetable oil2 tbsp
- Cilantrofor garnish
- Saltto taste
- Black pepperto taste

Rinse glutinous rice and soak in water for at least 4 hours or overnight. Drain well.

Steam the drained rice for 20-30 minutes until cooked through. Set aside.

Soak dried shrimp in warm water for 15 minutes, then drain and chop finely.

Slice Chinese sausage and chicken breast thinly. Mince garlic and shallots.

Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Sauté minced shallots and garlic until fragrant. Add chopped dried shrimp and cook for 2 minutes.

Add sliced Chinese sausage and chicken breast to the pan. Stir-fry until chicken is cooked and sausage is slightly browned.

In a small bowl, whisk together fish sauce, sugar, soy sauce, salt, and pepper to make the sauce. Pour the sauce over the stir-fried ingredients and cook for another 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.

In a large bowl, combine the steamed glutinous rice with about half of the stir-fried topping mixture. Mix gently to distribute the flavors.

To serve, scoop the mixed sticky rice into individual bowls. Top with the remaining stir-fried mixture. Garnish with fresh cilantro.
