- Lemongrass, finely minced2 tbsp
- Garlic, minced1 tbsp
- Shallots, minced1 tbsp
- Red chili, finely minced (optional)1 tsp
- Fish sauce2 tbsp
- Sugar1 tsp
- Black pepper1/2 tsp
- Vegetable oil1 tbsp
- Salt1/2 tsp
- Water1 tbsp

Finely mince the lemongrass, garlic, shallots, and chili (if using).

In a bowl, combine ground pork, minced lemongrass, garlic, shallots, chili, fish sauce, sugar, salt, black pepper, and 1 tbsp water. Mix thoroughly.

Prepare the betel leaves by washing and trimming the stems.

Spoon about 1-2 tablespoons of the pork mixture onto each betel leaf. Fold the sides and roll tightly.

Heat vegetable oil in a skillet or grill pan over medium-high heat. Grill the rolls for 5-7 minutes per side, until cooked through and slightly charred.
