- Agar-agar powder5 grams
- Black sesame paste100 grams
- Sugar120 grams
- Water200 ml
- White sesame seeds (for garnish)1 tablespoon

Prepare the silken tofu pudding as described in the classic Tào Phớ recipe (Steps 1-3). Let it set completely in the refrigerator.

In a saucepan, combine black sesame paste, sugar, and 200 ml water. Whisk until smooth.

Heat the black sesame mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly. Bring to a gentle simmer and cook for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened. Be careful not to scorch the bottom.

Remove the black sesame broth from heat and let it cool slightly. It will thicken more as it cools.

To serve, gently scoop the set tofu pudding into serving bowls. Pour the warm or room-temperature black sesame broth over the pudding.
