- Milk1/2 cup
- Vegetable oil2 tablespoons
- Water1/4 cup
- Vegetable oil for frying4 cups
- Powdered sugar for dustingas needed

In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and toasted sesame seeds.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, and 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil.

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until a soft dough forms. Gradually add water if needed.

Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.

Cover the dough and let it rest for 15 minutes.

Divide the dough into 8 equal portions and roll each portion into a ball.

Heat about 4 cups of vegetable oil in a deep pot or wok over medium-high heat to 350°F (175°C).

Carefully drop the dough balls into the hot oil, a few at a time.

Fry for about 3-5 minutes, turning occasionally, until puffed and golden brown. The sesame seeds will add a nutty aroma.
