Nguyên liệu

  • Sweet potatoes500g
  • Tapioca starch100g
  • Rice flour50g
  • Sugar50g
  • Salt1/2 teaspoon
  • Water50ml
  • Vegetable oil for fryingas needed

Các bước

  1. 1

Peel and steam or boil the sweet potatoes until very tender. Mash them thoroughly until smooth.

  2. 2

In a bowl, combine the mashed sweet potato, tapioca starch, rice flour, sugar, and salt. Mix well until a cohesive dough forms. Add water gradually if the dough is too dry, but it should be firm.

  3. 3

Shape the dough into small, flattened discs or logs, about 1-1.5 cm thick.

  4. 4

Heat a generous amount of vegetable oil in a wok or deep pan over medium-high heat. The oil should be hot but not smoking.

  5. 5

Carefully fry the sweet potato fritters in batches, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 5-7 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy.

  6. 6

Remove the fritters from the oil using a slotted spoon and drain them on paper towels.

  7. 7

    Serve hot.

Bánh Hồng Dừa (Coconut Bánh Hồng)

A delightful variation of Bánh Hồng, this version enhances the coconut flavor by incorporating shredded coconut into the batter, creating a richer, more aromatic, and slightly textured cake. It maintains the signature chewiness and pink color.
