- Thinly sliced beef (e.g., sukiyaki cut)150g
- Garlic1 clove
- Soy sauce3 tbsp
- Mirin1 tbsp
- Sugar1 tsp
- Vegetable oil1 tbsp
- Spinach1 cup
- Sesame seeds1 tsp
- Chili flakespinch
- Saltto taste
- Black pepperto taste
- Water1 tbsp

Prepare udon noodles according to package instructions (usually just heating). Drain and set aside.

Mince garlic. In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, mirin, sugar, and 1 tbsp water.

Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add minced garlic and stir-fry until fragrant (about 30 seconds).

Add the thinly sliced beef and stir-fry until just cooked through. Season with salt and pepper.

Add spinach to the skillet and stir-fry until just wilted.
