  • Lamb shoulder or beef chuck1 kg
  • Onions2 large
  • Bell peppers (red and green)2
  • Tomatoes4 medium
  • Garlic4 cloves
  • Olive oil100 ml
  • Lemon juice50 ml
  • Paprika1 tbsp
  • Cumin1 tsp
  • Coriander powder1 tsp
  • Saltto taste
  • Black pepperto taste
  • Fresh parsleyfor garnish
  • Lavash breadfor serving

    Cut the lamb or beef into 3-4 cm cubes. Peel and roughly chop 1 onion and 2 garlic cloves. Puree them or finely mince.

    In a large bowl, combine the meat with the pureed onion and garlic, olive oil, lemon juice, paprika, cumin, coriander, salt, and pepper. Mix well to coat the meat.

    Cover the bowl and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight.

    Cut the remaining onion and bell peppers into large chunks. Halve the tomatoes.

    Thread the marinated meat and vegetable chunks alternately onto metal skewers.

    Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.

    Grill the kebabs for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until the meat is cooked through and slightly charred, and the vegetables are tender.

    Serve the Drusian Kebab hot, garnished with fresh parsley, alongside lavash bread.
