In a bowl, mix ground beef, egg, breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper. Form into small, flattened meatballs.

Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the meatballs until browned on all sides. Remove from skillet.

Pour the jarred tomato sauce into the skillet. Stir in dried oregano. Bring to a simmer.

Return the meatballs to the skillet. Cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes, until cooked through.
