- Sirene cheese (Bulgarian white brine cheese)1.5 cups crumbled

- Yogurt (plain)1/2 cup

- Salt1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper1/4 teaspoon

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.

In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, yogurt, salt, and pepper until well combined.

Lay one sheet of phyllo dough in the prepared baking dish, brushing it lightly with melted butter. Repeat with 5-7 more sheets, buttering each layer.

Spread the rice and cheese filling evenly over the layered phyllo dough.

Layer the remaining phyllo dough sheets on top of the filling, buttering each layer as you go. Tuck the edges under.
