Soft, fluffy, slightly sweet buns made with yogurt, perfect for breakfast or a snack. These are traditionally fried until golden brown and served warm.

- Plain yogurt200g
- Eggs2
- Sugar50g
- Vegetable oil for frying500ml
- Baking soda1 tsp
- Salt1/2 tsp
- Powdered sugar for dustingoptional

In a large bowl, whisk together yogurt, eggs, sugar, and salt.

Dissolve baking soda in a tablespoon of water and add to the yogurt mixture.

Gradually add flour, mixing until a soft, slightly sticky dough forms. Knead for a few minutes until smooth.

Let the dough rest for about 30 minutes.

Heat vegetable oil in a deep pot or fryer to 170°C (340°F).

Take small portions of dough, roll them into balls or elongated shapes.

Carefully fry the dough pieces in batches until golden brown and puffed up, about 3-5 minutes per batch.

Remove the buns with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

Dust with powdered sugar before serving, if desired.
