Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F). Lightly grease a baking sheet.

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, salt, and sugar.

Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients and pour in the buttermilk.

Mix with a wooden spoon or your hands until a soft, slightly sticky dough forms. Do not overmix.
