Classic Ukrainian lokumki, small sweet dumplings typically made with tvorog (farmer's cheese) and semolina, boiled until tender and served with sweet toppings.

- Sugar2 tbsp
- Salt1/4 tsp
- All-purpose flour50g (for dusting)
- Sour creamfor serving
- Powdered sugarfor serving
- Fresh dillfor serving

In a bowl, mash the tvorog until smooth. Add egg, sugar, and salt. Mix well.

Gradually add semolina, mixing until a soft, slightly sticky dough forms. Do not overmix.

Lightly flour a clean surface. Take small portions of dough and roll them into ropes about 1.5 cm thick.

Cut the ropes into small pieces, about 2 cm long. You can leave them as is or gently shape them with a fork for texture.

Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil.

Carefully drop the lokumki into the boiling water in batches, ensuring not to overcrowd the pot.

Boil for 5-7 minutes after they float to the surface, or until tender.

Remove the lokumki with a slotted spoon and drain well.

Serve immediately, topped with sour cream, a dusting of powdered sugar, and fresh dill.
