Стъпки

  1. 1

Activate yeast in warm milk with a pinch of sugar. Let it sit for 10 minutes until foamy.

  2. 2

In a large bowl, whisk together flour, remaining sugar, and salt. Make a well in the center.

  3. 3

Pour the yeast mixture, beaten eggs, and melted butter into the well. Mix until a soft dough forms.

  4. 4

Knead the dough on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

  5. 5

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm place for 1-1.5 hours, or until doubled in size.

  6. 6

Punch down the dough and roll it out to about 1.5 cm thickness.

  7. 7

Cut out donut rings using a donut cutter or two different-sized round cutters.

  8. 8

Place the cut donuts on a floured tray, cover, and let them rest for another 20-30 minutes.

  9. 9

Heat vegetable oil in a deep pot to 180°C (350°F).

  10. 10

Fry the donuts in batches, about 2-3 minutes per side, until golden brown.

  11. 11

Remove donuts with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.

  12. 12

Dust generously with powdered sugar while still warm.
