Make the dough: Combine flour and salt. Whisk egg and water. Gradually mix wet into dry ingredients until a dough forms. Knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth. Cover and rest for 30 minutes.

Prepare the filling: If using frozen berries, toss them with cornstarch and 1 tablespoon of sugar. If using fresh berries, gently mix with 2 tablespoons of sugar.

Assemble the katmi: Roll out dough thinly. Cut circles. Place about 1-2 tablespoons of berry filling in the center of each circle. Fold dough in half and press edges firmly to seal, creating crescent shapes.

Boil the katmi: Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook katmi in batches for 5-8 minutes after they float, until dough is cooked. Be gentle to avoid bursting.

Serve: Drain the katmi carefully. Serve warm, drizzled with honey or sweetened condensed milk, and garnished with mint leaves.
