Roast or grill the bell peppers until the skin is charred. Place them in a bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and let steam for 10-15 minutes. Peel off the skin, cut the peppers in half lengthwise, and remove the seeds.
- 2
In a bowl, mix the crumbled sirene cheese with beaten eggs, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.
- 3
Stuff the halved peppers with the spicy sirene cheese mixture.
- 4
Prepare a dredging station: one plate with a mixture of flour and cornmeal, and another with plain beaten eggs.
- 5
Dip each stuffed pepper half first into the flour-cornmeal mixture, then into the egg, ensuring it's well coated.
- 6
Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat. Carefully place the coated peppers into the hot oil.
- 7
Fry the peppers for 4-6 minutes per side, until the crust is golden brown and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
- 8
Serve hot, optionally with a side of plain yogurt to balance the spice.
