Ingredients
- Chicken pieces (thighs or drumsticks)2 lbs
- All-purpose flour2 cups
- Cornstarch1/2 cup
- Eggs2
- Milk1/2 cup
- Vegetable oil for frying4 cups
- Honey1 cup
- Hot sauce (e.g., Frank's RedHot)1/2 cup
- Apple cider vinegar2 tbsp
- Red pepper flakes1 tsp
- Garlic powder1 tsp
- Saltto taste
- Black pepperto taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)2 tbsp

Pat chicken pieces dry. Season generously with salt and pepper.

In a shallow dish, whisk together flour and cornstarch. In another shallow dish, whisk eggs and milk.

Dredge each chicken piece first in the flour mixture, then dip in the egg mixture, and finally coat again in the flour mixture. Shake off excess.

Heat vegetable oil in a large Dutch oven or deep skillet to 350°F (175°C).

Carefully fry chicken in batches until golden brown and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes per side. Drain on a wire rack.

While chicken is frying, prepare the hot honey sauce. In a small saucepan, combine honey, hot sauce, apple cider vinegar, red pepper flakes, and garlic powder. Heat over medium heat, stirring until well combined and slightly thickened.

Once chicken is fried and drained, place it in a large bowl. Pour the hot honey sauce over the chicken and toss gently to coat evenly.
