- packed brown sugar0.75 cup
- pure maple syrup0.25 cup
- eggs2 large
- vanilla extract1 tsp
- chopped pecans, toasted0.5 cup
Steps

Prepare the pastry dough as per the Classic Canadian Butter Tarts recipe and chill.

Press dough into muffin tin to form 12 tart shells and chill.

For the filling: In a medium bowl, cream together softened butter, brown sugar, and maple syrup until smooth.

Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in vanilla extract.

Stir in the toasted chopped pecans.

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

Fill chilled tart shells with the maple pecan mixture, about two-thirds full.
