    In a large bowl, combine ground beef, crumbled bacon, chopped onion, minced garlic, egg, breadcrumbs, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.

    Form the mixture into 4 oval-shaped patties.

    Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the patties for 3-4 minutes per side until browned. Remove patties from skillet and set aside.

    In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add sliced mushrooms and cook until softened and lightly browned, about 5 minutes.

    Sprinkle flour over the mushrooms and cook, stirring, for 1 minute.

    Gradually whisk in beef broth until smooth. Bring to a simmer, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet.
