Ingredients
- Ground beef1 pound
- Ground pork1 pound
- Italian breadcrumbs1 cup
- Parmesan cheese, grated1/2 cup
- Eggs2 large
- Milk1/4 cup
- Yellow onion, finely chopped1/2 medium
- Garlic, minced2 cloves
- Fresh parsley, chopped1/4 cup
- Dried oregano1 teaspoon
- Salt1 teaspoon
- Black pepper1/2 teaspoon
- Marinara sauce (for topping, optional)1/2 cup

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, Italian breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan, eggs, milk, chopped onion, minced garlic, chopped parsley, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix gently until just combined.

Shape the mixture into a loaf and place it in a baking dish or on a baking sheet.

If using, spread marinara sauce over the top of the meatloaf.

Bake for 65-75 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).

Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh basil if desired.
