Ingredients
- Beef (ribeye or sirloin, thinly sliced)1.5 lbs
- Soy sauce1/2 cup
- Brown sugar1/4 cup
- Sesame oil2 tbsp
- Garlic (minced)4 cloves
- Ginger (grated)1 tbsp
- Pear (grated)1/4 cup
- Onion (thinly sliced)1/2 medium
- Green onions (chopped)2 tbsp
- Sesame seeds1 tbsp
- Black pepper1/2 tsp
- Saltto taste
- Water2 tbsp

In a bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, grated pear, and black pepper. Mix well.

Add the thinly sliced beef to the marinade. Ensure all slices are coated. Marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours in the refrigerator.

Preheat your grill or a large skillet over medium-high heat. If using a skillet, add a tablespoon of neutral oil.

Add the marinated beef to the hot grill or skillet in a single layer. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until browned and slightly caramelized. Do not overcrowd the pan; cook in batches if necessary.

In the last minute of cooking, add the sliced onion and cook until softened.

Remove from heat. Stir in chopped green onions and sesame seeds.

Serve immediately with rice and your favorite Korean side dishes (banchan).
