Ingredients
- Pork spare ribs1 rack (approx. 3-4 lbs)
- Brown sugar1/2 cup
- Paprika1/4 cup
- Garlic powder2 tbsp
- Onion powder2 tbsp
- Cayenne pepper1 tsp
- Salt1 tbsp
- Black pepper1 tbsp
- Ketchup1.5 cups
- Apple cider vinegar1/2 cup
- Molasses1/4 cup
- Worcestershire sauce2 tbsp
- Liquid smoke1 tsp

Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs.

Mix brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper for the dry rub. Generously coat the ribs with the rub.

Preheat oven to 275°F (135°C). Wrap ribs tightly in foil and bake for 2 hours.

While ribs bake, prepare the sauce: combine ketchup, apple cider vinegar, molasses, Worcestershire sauce, and liquid smoke in a saucepan. Simmer for 15 minutes.

Remove ribs from foil, brush generously with BBQ sauce, and return to the oven uncovered for 30-45 minutes, or until sauce is caramelized and ribs are tender.
