- Swiss cheese, sliced4 slices
- Prepared cheese sauce or quick béchamel1/2 cup

Toast the bread lightly in a pan with butter.

Assemble the sandwiches: Spread cheese sauce on one side of two bread slices. Top with ham and Swiss cheese slices. Place the remaining bread slices on top.
