Ingredients

  • Linguine1 pound
  • Fresh lump crab meat1 pound
  • Cherry tomatoes1 pint, halved
  • Garlic4 cloves, thinly sliced
  • Extra virgin olive oil1/4 cup
  • Red pepper flakes1/2 teaspoon (or to taste)
  • Dry white wine1/4 cup
  • Fresh basil1/4 cup, chopped
  • Saltto taste
  • Black pepperto taste

Steps

  1. 1

Cook linguine in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.

  2. 2

While pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add sliced garlic and red pepper flakes, sauté until garlic is golden and fragrant (about 2 minutes).

  3. 3

Add the halved cherry tomatoes to the skillet. Cook until they begin to soften and burst, about 5-7 minutes.

  4. 4

Pour in the white wine and let it simmer for 1 minute.

  5. 5

Add the crab meat and gently toss to combine with the tomatoes and garlic. Cook for 2-3 minutes until heated through.

  6. 6

Add the drained linguine to the skillet. Toss well. Add chopped basil and a splash of reserved pasta water to create a light sauce. Season with salt and pepper.

  7. 7

Serve immediately, garnished with extra basil if desired.
