Ingredients
- All-purpose flour100g
- Baking powder1 tsp
- Water150ml
- Egg1
- Cabbage150g
- Green onions2 stalks
- Ham or bacon bits (optional)50g
- Vegetable oil1 tbsp
- Okonomiyaki sauceto taste
- Japanese mayonnaiseto taste
- Dried seaweed flakes (optional)to taste

In a bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour and baking powder. Gradually add water and egg, whisking until a smooth batter forms.

Finely shred the cabbage and chop the green onions. If using, dice the ham or bacon.

Add the cabbage, green onions, and optional ham/bacon to the batter and mix.

Heat vegetable oil in a non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Pour half of the batter mixture into the pan, forming a round pancake.

Cook for about 4-5 minutes until the bottom is golden brown and set.

Carefully flip the pancake and cook the other side for another 4-5 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.

Transfer to a plate. Drizzle with okonomiyaki sauce and mayonnaise. Sprinkle with dried seaweed flakes if desired.
