Ingredients
- Beef round steak1.5 lbs
- All-purpose flour1/4 cup
- Olive oil2 tbsp
- Onion1 medium
- Canned tomato sauce1 (15 oz) can
- Beef broth1.5 cups
- Saltto taste
- Black pepperto taste

Cut steak into 4-6 portions and pound to tenderize.

Season flour with salt and pepper, then dredge steak pieces.

Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Sear steak on both sides until browned.

Remove steak. Add sliced onion to the skillet and cook until softened.

Pour in tomato sauce and beef broth. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.
