  • Mature cheddar cheese75g
  • Milk150ml

Steps

    Preheat oven to 200°C (180°C fan/Gas Mark 6). Lightly grease a baking sheet.

    Melt the butter in a small saucepan or microwave.

    Sift flour, baking powder, salt, and pepper into a bowl.

    Stir in most of the grated cheese.

    Pour in the melted butter and milk, mixing gently to form a soft dough.

    Turn onto a floured surface and pat to about 2cm thickness.
