- Breadcrumbs50g

For the dough: Mix flour, egg, milk, and salt until a smooth, elastic dough forms. Knead for about 10 minutes.

Let the dough rest for 30 minutes.

For the filling: Mix cottage cheese, egg yolk, and sugar until well combined.

Roll out the dough thinly on a floured surface.

Spread the cottage cheese filling evenly over the dough, leaving a small border.

Carefully roll up the dough like a Swiss roll.

Cut the roll into 2-3 cm thick slices.

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.

Gently place the štrukli slices into the boiling water.

Boil for about 15-20 minutes, or until they float to the surface and are cooked through.

While the štrukli are boiling, melt butter in a pan and fry the breadcrumbs until golden brown.

Drain the cooked štrukli and serve immediately, topped with the fried breadcrumbs and butter.
