In a bowl, combine quark, semolina, egg yolk, and a pinch of salt. Mix well to form a soft dough. Let it rest for 10 minutes.

Prepare plums by pitting them and filling with sugar.

Wet your hands and flatten portions of the quark dough. Enclose each plum completely, forming round dumplings.

Boil dumplings in salted water for about 12-15 minutes until they float and are cooked through.

Melt butter in a pan and toast breadcrumbs until golden brown.

Drain the dumplings and gently toss them in the toasted breadcrumbs.
