- Sea bass (Ikan Siakap)1 whole fish (approx. 800g)
- Minced ginger2 tbsp
- Minced garlic1 tbsp
- Scallions2 stalks
- Light soy sauce3 tbsp
- Sesame oil1 tsp
- Cooking oil2 tbsp
- Saltto taste
- Wateras needed

Clean and descale the sea bass. Make shallow slits on both sides.

Stuff the fish cavity with some minced ginger and garlic. Place on a steaming plate.

Steam over high heat for 8-10 minutes until cooked.

While steaming, mix light soy sauce and sesame oil.

Discard steaming liquid. Top the fish with remaining minced ginger, garlic, and chopped scallions.

Heat cooking oil until smoking. Drizzle over the aromatics on the fish.
