Bahan

  • Glutinous rice flour250g
  • Pandan extract2 tablespoons
  • Water150ml
  • Salt1/4 teaspoon
  • Freshly grated coconut200g
  • Gula Melaka (palm sugar)200g
  • Water for syrup100ml
  • Pandan leaf (for syrup)1

Langkah

  1. 1

In a bowl, mix glutinous rice flour, pandan extract, water, and salt until a smooth, pliable dough forms. Add more water if needed.

  2. 2

Shape the dough into small logs, about 5-7 cm long and 1.5 cm thick.

  3. 3

Steam the shaped logs in a steamer for 15-20 minutes, or until cooked through and firm.

  4. 4

While the kuih is steaming, prepare the syrup. Combine gula melaka, water, and a pandan leaf in a saucepan. Heat gently, stirring until the sugar dissolves. Simmer for 5-10 minutes until slightly thickened. Remove pandan leaf.

  5. 5

Spread the grated coconut on a plate.

  6. 6

Once the kuih is steamed, let it cool slightly. Roll the warm kuih logs in the grated coconut, ensuring they are evenly coated.

  7. 7

Arrange the coated kuih on a serving platter and drizzle generously with the palm sugar syrup.
