- Yellow onion, finely chopped1 medium

- Aleppo pepper flakes (or regular chili flakes)1 tsp

- Smoked paprika1 tsp
- Olive oil3 tbsp
- Plain yogurt200g
- Fresh parsley, chopped2 tbsp

Cook pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain, reserving some pasta water.

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onion and sauté until softened, about 5-7 minutes.

Add ground lamb/beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.

Stir in minced garlic, tomato paste, Aleppo pepper flakes, cumin, and smoked paprika. Cook for 2 minutes until fragrant.

Add about 1/2 cup of water or broth to deglaze and create a sauce. Season with salt and black pepper. Simmer for 15 minutes, allowing flavors to meld.

In a small bowl, mix yogurt with 1 minced garlic clove and a pinch of salt.
