  • Honey or corn syrup1/4 cup
  • Water2 tbsp
  • Minced garlic4 cloves
  • Butter2 tbsp
  • Sesame seeds for garnish1 tbsp

    Toss chicken pieces generously with cornstarch until evenly coated.

    Heat vegetable oil in a deep pot or wok to 325°F (160°C). Fry chicken in batches for 8-10 minutes until lightly golden. Remove and drain.

    Increase oil temperature to 350°F (175°C). Re-fry chicken for another 3-5 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Drain well.
