- Pre-cooked pork or ham300g
- Pickled nettle stems (dọc mùng)300g
- Shrimp paste (mắm tôm)1.5 tbsp
- Garlic2 cloves
- Rice vermicelli noodles (bún)500g
- Lime1
- Chili peppers1
- Cilantro1/2 bunch
- Fish sauce1 tbsp
- Saltto taste
- Black pepperto taste
- Water1.5 liters

Prepare the dọc mùng: Rinse and squeeze out excess water.

Slice the pre-cooked pork or ham into bite-sized pieces.

Mince garlic. Chop cilantro.

In a pot, sauté minced garlic until fragrant. Add the water and bring to a boil.

Add fish sauce, salt, and pepper. Add the prepared dọc mùng and simmer for 15 minutes.

Stir in the shrimp paste, dissolved in a little hot broth.

Add the pre-cooked pork or ham and simmer for another 5 minutes to heat through.

Cook rice vermicelli noodles according to package instructions. Drain and rinse.
