- Pre-made snakehead fish cakes300g
- Rice vermicelli noodles (bún)400g
- Chicken or fish broth (low sodium)1.5 liters
- Turmeric powder1/2 tsp
- Dill1/2 bunch
- Scallions1/4 bunch
- Fish sauce2 tbsp
- Vegetable oil1 tbsp
- Water500ml
- Saltto taste
- Black pepperto taste
- Chili peppers1

Pan-fry the pre-made fish cakes in 1 tbsp vegetable oil until golden brown. Set aside.

In a pot, combine chicken or fish broth and 500ml water. Bring to a simmer.

Stir in turmeric powder, fish sauce, salt, and pepper. Add most of the chopped dill and scallions.

Simmer for 10-15 minutes to allow flavors to meld.

Prepare the noodles: Cook rice vermicelli noodles according to package instructions. Drain and rinse.

Assemble the bowls: Divide the noodles among serving bowls. Top with the fried fish cakes.

Ladle the hot broth over the noodles and fish cakes. Garnish with remaining dill, scallions, and sliced chili.
