  • Chicken or fish broth (low sodium)1.5 liters
  • Turmeric powder1/2 tsp
  • Dill1/2 bunch
  • Scallions1/4 bunch
  • Fish sauce2 tbsp
  • Vegetable oil1 tbsp
  • Water500ml
  • Saltto taste
  • Black pepperto taste
  • Chili peppers1

    Pan-fry the pre-made fish cakes in 1 tbsp vegetable oil until golden brown. Set aside.

    In a pot, combine chicken or fish broth and 500ml water. Bring to a simmer.

    Stir in turmeric powder, fish sauce, salt, and pepper. Add most of the chopped dill and scallions.

    Simmer for 10-15 minutes to allow flavors to meld.

    Prepare the noodles: Cook rice vermicelli noodles according to package instructions. Drain and rinse.

    Assemble the bowls: Divide the noodles among serving bowls. Top with the fried fish cakes.
