- Cooked rice3 cups
- Pre-cooked pork liver150g
- Pre-cooked pork heart100g
- Chicken or pork broth6 cups
- Fish sauce1 tbsp
- Garlic2 cloves, minced
- Saltto taste
- Black pepperto taste
- Fresh cilantrofor garnish
- Fried shallotsfor garnish

Slice the pre-cooked pork liver and heart thinly.

In a pot, combine the cooked rice and broth. Bring to a simmer.

Add minced garlic and sautéed briefly in a separate pan until fragrant. Add this to the simmering congee.

Simmer for about 20-30 minutes, stirring frequently, until the rice breaks down and the congee thickens.

Add the sliced pork offal to the congee and cook for another 5 minutes to heat through.

Season with fish sauce, salt, and black pepper to taste.

Serve hot, garnished with fresh cilantro and fried shallots.
