Clean and prepare the squid by cutting into bite-sized pieces. Season with salt and pepper.

In a small bowl, mix the sweet and sour stir-fry sauce with cornstarch and 2 tbsp water.

Heat vegetable oil in a wok or skillet over high heat. Add garlic and stir-fry for 15 seconds until fragrant.

Add squid and stir-fry until just cooked through (about 1 minute). Remove squid from the wok.
