- Chay squash (winter melon)500g
- Dried shrimp30g
- Garlic2 cloves
- Fish sauce1 tbsp
- Vegetable oil1 tbsp
- Water1.5 liters
- Saltto taste
- Black pepperto taste
- Scallions2 stalks
- Cilantroa small bunch

Rinse the dried shrimp and soak in warm water for 15-20 minutes until softened. Drain and roughly chop.

Peel and deseed the chay squash, then cut into 2-inch cubes.
